Encon Performance is seeking motivated plumbers of all experience levels to join our growing team.
We are currently seeking journeyman and 3rd/4th year plumbers willing to work in the greater Vancouver area on jobs ranging from tilt up style warehouses, wood frame multi-tenant and mid-rise buildings. We welcome candidates with no previous site experience as our firm has experience in leading workers through their entire career from inexperienced workers to full-fledged journeyman. Ideal candidates should be dependable, organized, conscientious, work well in a team environment, and pride themselves for thinking outside the box.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
Plumbers perform some or all the following duties:
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Install commercial plumbing fixtures and systems, including; Cast Iron, System 15, Soldered and Grooved copper. Black iron pipe, Ductile iron and more
- Fixture Installation, HWT Installation, DWV work, Gas work, Mechanical rooms
- Locate and mark locations for pipe connections, coring holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- Drill holes in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
Position Requirements:
- Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Hardworking and reliable
- Basic tools needed for the position
- Knowledge of plumbing, heating and gas fitting and applicable code
- Strong communication skills and safety conscious
